How to Get Seriously Motivated to Work Out

We all know that working out daily is a very difficult routine to follow but it's not impossible. Some of you out there might be thinking of how to make a 2 days class every week to the regular session. Believe it, it's more about time management and your will get out there and perform like magic. However, most exercisers give up along the line due to motivational issues.

We believe that some of you are regular exercisers and this is quite a good thing. Sometimes, your brain may just want to slack down a bit, take an hour extra of sleep or give you a perception to skip your exercise routine. However, for the right reasons, this article will provide you some motivational tips to encourage you to sweat out daily and remain fit.

1. Reward yourself

We are not talking about abstract rewards or objectives like 'better health' and 'weight management'. It's not that these things won't get you motivated. It sure does for some people. But there are several others that these abstract goals do not motivate. What should you do? Reward yourself with treats such as smoothie or something you crave for after the workout. It will get you motivated because you brain simply want to get indulged with an extrinsic compensation and connect with this kind of reward as being worthwhile. Backing up your routine with real reward helps to develop your routine into a habit.

As you do this, your brain associates sweat and soreness with the endorphins. These chemicals give you an excited feeling just the way you feel good after listening to your favorite track. Upon successful training of associating your brain with the workout as a reward, you might not want to rest.

2. Make a Commitment Contract

Motivating our inner self and promising ourselves something gratifying is a great mental exercise. But when it comes to following your pledge, it is in our human behavior to feel like dumping it or forget about it. Do you know where the real motivation comes from? I guess not. Now, try and make the pledge in front of your friends. It is more likely that you will follow it up because if you don't, you are going to get embarrassed in front of your friends for not keeping to your words.

Make it a real thing. Sign a contract to pay your friend for skipping you workout routine. For example, you have to pay $10 for every skipped routine. It works on long term because everyone needs to move past the initial displeasure of doing something and this challenge is a manipulative tool to make it happen.

3. Positive Thinking

Positive thinking has motivated people for centuries. For example, jogging during the mid day can make you prone to sun burn but you can also think about your muscle development. After you analyze what you have, you will figure out the way to overcome with a plan. These can be more effective if you come up with a more realistic problem solving techniques. You can switch your exercise routines to morning hours or in the evening.
