5 Rules to Start the Day Fresh

If you start your day off suffering from mood swings or laziness, then most likely you are doing something wrong. While coffee might give you a little boost, it doesn't always fix your mood. If you have a problem waking up, going to work or even dealing with people then the problem comes with a few things that you do every day.

Lack of sleep, eating too much before sleeping or too much in the morning might affect your sleep and your mood. Lack of activity in the morning will affect your body negatively and you will not be able to function fully later in the day.

Of course, your body is fully affected by a number of things before, during and after your sleep. Here are five steps to get up in the morning feeling fresh and ready to start the day:

1- Eat healthy before you sleep:
Eating too much before you sleep will give you trouble sleeping. Caffeine will activate your central nervous system; so, avoid coffee, tea, soft drinks that contain caffeine.

Large meals or large before-bedtime snacks will not help you sleep well. As you lie down and try to sleep, your digestive system slows down and that will make you feel uncomfortable and perhaps sick.

So, in order to sleep well, you should eat a couple of hours before sleeping. Eating right before going to bed is not healthy, not only in sleeping, but in your diet. It is easier to gain weight in unhealthy ways.

2- Exercise before sleeping:
If you work out 30 minutes before going to bed, you maintain a healthier body and healthier sleep. You don't have to work too hard, a few pushups and sit-ups will do. After your work out, take a shower then sleep. With your body already active, you will be able to sleep easier than before. If you got tired, that would be even better.

3- Manage your sleeping hours:
While eating affects your sleep, sleep affects your waking. While from body to body and from age to age, the sleeping hours needed vary; the human body needs sleep in order to be active the next morning.

Sleeping at night is healthy. You should sleep from 6-8 hours a day to maintain healthy sleep. Sleeping healthy is the answer to wake up in a better state. On a side note, you should memorize your dreams and write them down on a piece of paper. If you wake up and forget a dream that you had later on in the day, it might be your worst puzzle of the day.

On another side not, the way you sleep could possibly affect your sleep and the way your body feels in the morning. You should sleep after getting comfortable, no matter how tired you may be.

4- Exercise when you wake up:
Yes, exercising in the morning helps a lot. Drink a glass of water to help activate our internal organs then begin a small session of exercise. The physical activity helps you burn calories for most of the day, sometimes up to 24 hours.

Exercising in the morning fills you with energy dramatically all day long, and on the long run, your body will have an alarm set if you exercise approximately at the same time every morning. Also, you will be in a better mood and you will feel refreshed. You will work better in the day and you will be able to deal with people better.

5- Enjoy your breakfast:
Now that you have enjoyed your good sleep and your mind is active, your breakfast will affect you for the rest of the day. Eating too much will get you drowsy and inactive. Your mind will work slower. Eating healthy will keep you on edge.

As your body starts the day out fresh, so will your mind. You will not have to make decisions you won't like later on and you will be able to control your reactions easier.
