How To Transform Your Stairwell Into A Fat-Burning Machine

Among the most overlooked yet highly efficient training tools is the stairwell. The stairs are not just ready-made for a killer cardio workout but can also be utilized for both upper and lower body strength exercises.

Different Workouts To Have A Strong, Lean Physique

Step-Ups - On top of the stair, place your right foot. Without moving it, drive through the ball of your big toe so you can come all the way up to standing. Lower down slowly until your back foot will touch the ground. For the entire time, your front foot will stay on the stairs. Make sure that you keep your chest up and core engaged. Consider doing 10 reps per side.

Lateral Step-Up - Stand parallel to the stairs. Lift your inside leg and put your foot on top of the stair. Press through your big toe's ball as you step up on the stair. Bring both your feet together and then come back down, facing the same side. You must not collapse the chest or perhaps round your spine to come up to standing position. Consider doing 10 reps per side.

Split Jumps - On top of the stair, place your right foot. As you jump as high as you can, you must drive off the ball of your big toe. Then, switch feet in the air. With that said, your left foot must land on the stair. Again, drive off the ball of your big toe, switching your feet in the air. Repeat the movement. Be sure the keep your chest up and land softly. Perform 5 jumps each side.

Depth Jumps - Stand with your fit hip-width apart. Bend both your knees, shift your hips back, and hump up on the stair. With your chest up, you must land softly. Jump off the stair back down to the ground. Jump back quickly on the stair. At a controlled pace, you must repeat the movement. Consider doing 10 jumps.

Sprints - You need to run as fast as you possibly can up the set of stairs by explosively driving out your big toe's ball. Also, lift your knees and swing your arms. After reaching the top of the staircase, walk down slowly. Consider resting for a minute and repeat. You must do at least 2 sprints.

These are just some of the exercises you can do in a stairwell. But if you have enough money, it would be wise for you to invest in a quality stair-climber.
