Exercise too light in intensity, or too slow will not yield the same results. You must exercise for your unique body type in order to acheve the maximun effects of weight loss. Most people will assume that their fat is made up of excess calories and all that is necessary is to burn these calories off through exercising. It's not the calories burned during exercise that are significant, though. There are delayed fat burning effects that occur between 14 and 48 hours after exercise, but only when specific conditions are met regarding sleep and stress levels.
The Myth of Exercise Longer to Lose Weight.
This philosophy is currently being pushed heavily in gyms. Many people these days are exercise freaks. One woman not only exercised two hours per day seven days per week but she also ran a 26-mile marathon and didn't lose any weight. Talk about depressing! Since the adrenals are the stress glands, if you have an Adrenal body shape, then the longer and harder you exercise, the less you will lose because you are triggering those darn stress hormones again causing more belly fat.
So, there is a specific way you should be exercising to trigger fat burning, depending on your specific gland weakness.

You should be sure that you are not hurting yourself. It's important that you do the correct type of exercise for your particular body type. You can take the body type quiz and find out what body type you have and then you can find out what kind of exercise you need to do to get the best results. It's possible that your body type is one that requires less exercise than you may think. I'm sure it would be nice to find that it's possible you could do less exercise but still lose even more weight than before?
