Good Morning Exercises

Don't you just hate it when you wake up in the morning feeling tired and sluggish? What's worse is that you know that with mornings like this, you are likely to spend the whole day like this. You'd want to get rid of this feeling at once and the best way to do this is to exercise the moment you wake up in the morning. A set of your favorite exercise will make you feel invigorated, ready to tackle your job for the day. You'll have more energy making you cheerful throughout the day, able to face the challenges of your daily work.
You don't need to go to the gym every morning or buy expensive gym gear and equipment in order to exercise. Here are some good morning exercises that you can do right in your bedroom as soon as you wake up in the morning.

Wake-up Stretching

One type of exercise that is sure to start your morning right and put you in a good mood is to stretch your stiff muscles after opening your eyes. You don't have to get out of the bed at once as you can start by stretching your calf muscles while still lying down. Move your feet so that the calf muscles are squeezed. This will make the slow flowing blood at your feet move back into your heart. Your legs will warm up and then you can get out of your bed.

The next step is the back stretch. Sit on your bed, and put your hands on your waist, try to move your elbows slowly backwards. You should hold this position for a few seconds. Go back to the original position and repeat this move a good number of times. This will warm up your body and take away any sleepiness that still remains.

The last step is the shoulder stretch. This is done by stretching both your arms above your head as if you are yawning. Shoulder muscles become tight during sleep and stretching them will help get rid of the lethargy you feel and weariness in those muscles.

You are now prepared to go through the day's challenges.

Push-ups

Did you know that push-ups offer the same benefits as stretching, cardiovascular training and weightlifting? All these activities are incorporated in push-ups. Doing them could be quite difficult for the uninitiated since they involve moving many muscles of the body but fitness experts believe that the long-term benefits are worth the efforts. Push-ups help stabilize and develop those muscles that are not generally used in other forms of physical activities.

Push-ups involve the use of muscles in the anterior deltoids, triceps and the chest; they also stretch the back and the biceps. Many fitness enthusiasts consider push-ups as the best chest workout because they tone and increase the size of chest muscles. They also believe that when performed as an intense workout, push-ups can contribute to increasing the human growth hormone.

Strength Exercise

Any exercise routine will not be completely beneficial without strength training. It helps to build and maintain muscle mass as it prevents the body from gaining weight. Strength training can be integrated with the morning exercise routine for guys as soon as they wake up. It can include strength building activities such as light dumbbells training, push-ups, and stretching. Aerobic exercises can be added as well to take advantage of cardiovascular benefits of such exercises.

Walking

There would never be a simpler but very effective means to have a healthier life than walking. It is a form of aerobic exercise that can burn calories, help shed unwanted weight, and improve the body's blood circulation and thus make your heart healthier. It is also less prone to injury since the low-impact moves are friendly to joints and muscles of the body.

One of the best things a guy can do for himself is to include walking in his daily morning exercise routine. It will help improve his stamina and his overall health. Walking is virtually free for everyone; you don't have to pay for expensive gym or club membership or buy high-priced sports gear or equipment. All a guy needs to have a healthier lifestyle is a pair of comfortable outfit and walking shoes.

Jogging

If you are looking for a great form of exercise that brings you a whole lot of healthful benefits, then you should try jogging. Jogging experts have proven that besides being good for the heart, jogging also helps in strengthening our bones, slowing down the aging process, increasing the body's human growth hormones, boosting performance and enhancing stamina. However, even as jogging offers many health benefits, it has been noted that many joggers eventually stop doing it. Experts believe that this happens because it entails a great deal of motivation and personal efforts, and many people succumb to burnout. To avoid this pitfall, would-be joggers should start slow and gradual. A few tries at jogging will not enable you to qualify for a full marathon so it is important that you try to start jogging a few miles until you get used to more distance and have the required strength and stamina.
